Tuning - Popplers Music

Acoustic Upright and Grand Pianos are big investments. With any investment, you want to protect it and make sure it is being cared for. Popplers recommends tuning and maintaining a piano at least once per year. Pianos should really be tuned twice per year to maintain perfect condition. Acoustic pianos are mostly made of wood and are sensitive to the changing seasons and the humidity changes that accompany the changing seasons. You can help your piano hold its tune by taking the following precautions:

  • Maintain a humidity level of between 35%- 45% in the room that your piano is in
  • Talk with your technician regarding a humidifier system for your piano
  • Schedule regular maintenance of 1-2 tunings per year from your piano technician

We are fortunate to have exceptional piano technicians in the Greater Grand Forks area! Joe and Brian have been tuning pianos for decades and have tuned hundreds if not thousands of pianos. You can count on them to keep your instrument in great condition and help it last for years to come!
