One can easily imagine the sound of hoof beats in the repeated left-hand chords of the accompaniment. The right-hand melody creates tension and excitement through repeated rhythm and melodic patterns using eighth and sixteenth notes. The key of A minor and the fast 4/4 tempo add to the energy and drama of the performance.
