The Pastoral Romances for SATB choir were written during the composer's time at the University of Virginia while studying with Randall Thompson. The first and third romances are based on texts by the Spanish poet, Luis de Gongora, and the second romance contains original text by the composer. Movements: I. Los Flores del Romero II.
