Five Songs for Mezzo Soprano and Marimba. First Place Winner in the 1994 PAS Composition Contest. This wonderful 10-minute piece is based on the poetry of Emily Dickinson. Each song beautifully paints a picture from her words. The 4-mallet marimba writing is very idiomatic and well-written.
