You won't find many works at this grade level that successfully communicate the feelings of calm and grandeur with such striking effect. The combination of musical percussion, nontraditional effects and sweeping waves of sound create an impressionistic, mature work; and while written to be accessible by young players, it would be very effective for bands at all levels.
