AGON is the Greek word meaning battle, struggle or conflict. The following quote from Plato's SYMPOSIUM helps to give insight into Nelhybel's music in general and into his AGON in particular: "'The one in conflict with itself is held together, like the harmony of the bow and the lyre.'
