Eugene Goossens (1893-1962) composed this OBOE CONCERTO, Op. 45 for his brother Leon Goossens in 1927. They gave their first performance of the piano version in Boston in 1929. After the orchestral preimere in 1930, this became a standard piece for the brothers when they performed together. The concerto is a single movement with pastoral sections and more modern mechanical sections. Reprint edition.
