Giacomo Puccini - Vocal Chamber Compositions (Vocal Collection)

This is a collection from Ricordi, Puccini's original publisher, of 11 songs for voice and piano by the great opera composer Puccini. The songs span from his earliest student work to 1921. Though some are more intimate than his expansive opera arias, others are fully operatic in style. The 1888 song Sole e amore was later adapted into the Act III quartet in La bohème. The edition includes historical notes and English translations for study.
