Eine Tanzsuite is the first and most accessible of four serious piano works by twentieth-century Austrian composer Artur Schnabel. A teacher and performer in his own time,Schnabel's compositions were largely overlooked, but are now recognized for their great range of style and content. In five movements, Eine Tanzsuite explores the moods oflight-hearted flirtation, unabashed romanticism, a stately waltz, an otherworldly unknown, and a jubilant finale.
