A bulwark of Christian hymnody, the German chorale has inspired centuries of worshipers and musicians. Daniel Burton has written piano arrangements of a number of chorales with the goal of presenting and enhancing the chorales in ways both familiar and innovative. All the chorales chosen are among the most well-known ones that appear in nearly every hymnal.
