Setting the tone for the entire work from the get-go, the men forcefully proclaim, ôOpen the gates!ö much like the prophet Isaiah. The unison male voicing quickly moves to an effective, but easily sung TTBB divisi. The women enter next in a soft unison, with quiet but lush divisi of voices, as they proclaim ôpeace.ö Once again Childers uses his gift of lush harmonies as he encourages trust of theLord forever in the final section of this inspiring anthem.
