This short choral work based on the Reformation text, “Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in Thy Word,” by Dietrich Buxtehude, is lovely for a Reformation Sunday service. It is scored for SATB choir, 2 violins, violoncello, and continuo and has been translated to English. The transition into three can be difficult but is certainly well worth it.
