Wonderful integration of story-telling, art, music, dramatics. Teacher reads story; students sing one short adapted mountain song several times as the stories cycle; prior to story students color and make hand, paper plate, sack, or finger puppets or masks from drawings provided. Students dramatize the story as teacher tells. Selected students can also play sound effects that imitate character names when each name is spoken.
