Griffes' Rhapsody in B minor for piano, edited by Donna K. Anderson, is a brilliant and technically demanding work with (not surprisingly) several sections contrasting in mood, melodic material, key, meter, and tempo. It is an exciting and effective concert piece and a welcome addition to the published body of piano literature.
