The Rising of the Sun for SATB choir (divisi) and organ (duration 4 minutes) was commissioned by Repton School, in memory of Richard Bradburn, and is a setting of part of Psalm 113. It begins with a solitary bird greeting the approaching dawn, and builds to a dance-like song of praise. First performed by Repton School Chapel Choir on 24 January 2024 with Oliver Walker (conductor) and Roger Owens (organ).
