Latvian female composer Selga Mence has played a pivotal role in the development of Latvian choral music during the last 40 years, not least as one of the most influential composition teachers of Eriks Esenvalds. This anthology provides conductors and choirs with an invaluable introduction to her music for upper voices, with repertoire ranging from Latvian folksong arrangements and sacred choral settings of Liturgical texts.
