This delightful two-movement arrangement is drawn from the longer work Sechs Kinderstücke (Six Pieces for Children), by Felix Mendelssohn. McCashin's arrangement of the first and third movements exemplify Mendelssohn's preference for short "character pieces" toward the end of his life.
