Country Caper was conceived as a concert piece to be performed within the first few weeks of beginning instruction. With very limited technical demands, this composition offers young players a chance to perform with success in their early stages of development. A folk-dance style is found in much of the traditional band literature is introduced to your beginning students. Only the first six notes of the B-flat concert scale are utilized.
