This engaging new setting of a traditional tune comes to us from David Cherwien. The text begins with Christ's birth, and continues on to tell the story of Jesus' death and resurrection. If desired, the sections in measures 9-25 and 143-159 may be sung by sopranos and altos only, in unison with keyboard accompaniment. All SATB voices would then sing in parts beginning in measures 25 and 159, as indicated in the score.
