Hal Hopson gives us an original setting of his paraphrase of Psalms 8. There is a feeling of delight in the lyrical melody. The stepwise motion and use of sequence helps to make the piece both singable and memorable. The form (repeated refrain after each verse) creates a good teaching piece that can be used with younger and older elementary children. The bells are used on the refrains to add brightness.
