15 Tuba Trios

15 Tuba Trios is a collection of fifteen pieces for three tubas exploring a variety of styles and ranging in difficulty from medium easy to medium difficult. The first part ranges to slightly above the bass clef staff, while the other two voices range to the middle and below the staff. These trios are intended to give players a fulfilling experience with this type of ensemble, which, because of the problems low register harmony can present, require special listening and dynamic adjustment skills. The trios cover a diverse set of styles and are designed to give each of the three players a part that is important and integral to the piece. As tuba trios are more unusual and unfamiliar to many audiences, these pieces are also aimed at interesting and entertaining audiences with the capabilities of tubas.
