Flute 1, Piccolo, Flute 2, Flute 3, Flute 4, Alto Flute, Bass Flute, Contrabass Flute "Father of St. Louis Ragtime" Tom Turpin (1871-1922) was a St. Louis pianist and the keeper of the Rosebud Saloon, which was often frequented by Scott Joplin and other ragtime pioneers. Turpin was the first African-American to have ragtime music published, and this tune dates back to 1903.
