This warmly familiar Thanksgiving chorale reminds us of our blessings in times of plenty. After an introduction, the arrangement sounds the building block of the work, a growing wedge of sound, followed by an echo and then a cadence in hemiola. This building block introduces the first stanza; appears again between stanzas; and ends the piece--just as God's blessings provide the structure of our lives before, during, and after life events.
