UK composer Philip Lawson has set this gorgeous Charles Wesley text so that it sounds like a stately Cathedral anthem but yet is approachable for choirs of varying ability levels. Penned in 1762, the text reflects its time as well as an amazing universality: "Jesus, confirm my heart's desire to work and think and speak for thee." This anthem is majestic and deeply moving.
