Written in a classical style, this bright and happy anthem is useful as a choral call to worship or anthem of praise. Both accompaniment and choral parts are vigorous and assertive, reflecting the call to “Praise Him for His wondrous doings.” The repeated chords and the running passages of the accompaniment provide an energetic background for the easy choral parts. Accompaniment may be played by Organ or Piano. Particularly useful in connection with Psalm 95, Third Sunday of Lent, Year A–Revised Common Lectionary.
