Copper Body & Neck
The STS411 saxophone has incredible tonal complexity with its copper body construction. More copper in the body and neck helps create a darker, warmer tone. The neck is also hand-adjusted for precision.
Ribbed Body Construction
The 411 features a post-to-rib-to body construction made from premium yellow brass. This means that the posts that hold the mechanism together are soldered onto a long plate (known as “the rib”) which is then soldered directly to the body. The added mass changes how the instrument vibrates, creating a warmer tone.
Pisoni Pro Pads
This saxophone comes equipped with Pisoni Pro pads with metal resonators. The pads sport waterproof leather and specially treated felt. They are capped with metal resonators that help to reflect the sound back into the instrument when the pads are closed.
One-Piece Bell
The bell is constructed from one piece of yellow brass and is hand-hammered, strengthening the integrity and resonant qualities of the metal.
