Yamaha CLP-745 Clavinova Overview

Welcome to Popplers Music. My name is Josh. Let’s talk pianos.

Today, we’re going to take a look at an overview of the features of Yamaha CLP-745 Clavinova and I also prepared some short playing examples. Let’s get started.

The CLP series has been around for decades. What’s new with the CLP-745? We have upgraded speakers. We have an upgraded action to the grand touch keyboard action. There are two new piano sounds that have been added and are quite unique that I’ll get to in a minute. You can also connect to the Smart Pianist app without any cables.

The Smart Pianist app allows you to control all of the features on your Clavinova. You can choose your piano sound. You can access the different instrument sounds on your Clavinova. You can also control your recording and metronomes.

Bluetooth allows you to utilize the speakers on your Clavinova to listen to any music that you would regularly listen to.

You can navigate all of the features on the Clavinova using this handy screen. You can access all of your instrument sounds with the voice button. You can split the keyboard with multiple instrument sounds. You can record yourself. You have a built-in metronome, backing tracks, and also a piano room that allows you to customize your piano sound.

The Yamaha CLP-745 Clavinova features Yamaha’s 9’ concert grand piano as one of the main piano sounds on this Clavinova. It also boasts the Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand piano as well.

Yamaha developed two different piano sounds that are unique to popular composers from the past. You’ll see the Mozart piano and Chopin piano. They’re different than the modern-day piano in the sense that the sound decays rapidly after playing and is not as full as the modern-day piano. However, the piano sounds that were developed for these two composers are more accurate than what they would’ve been playing on in their time.

The CLP-745 is available in black, rosewood, dark walnut, and polished ebony.
