Yamaha N1X Avant Hybrid Piano Overview

Welcome to Popplers Music. My name is Josh. Let’s talk pianos.

Today, we are going to be looking at the Yamaha N1X hybrid piano. This piano is considered a hybrid because it is completely a digital piano. However, Yamaha’s 5’ baby grand action has been taken and put in the key bed of this piano.

What that means is you have a digital piano that you do not have to tune, has an amazing sound, has recording capabilities and other instrument sounds, and headphone compatibility without having to sacrifice the action at all.

Digital pianos have come to a long way, but there’s just no replacing the actual feel of an acoustic piano. That is what this piano aims to do.

The N1X has 15 different instrument sounds. The two flagship piano sounds on the N1X are Yamaha’s CFX concert grand and the Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand piano. There are some electric piano sounds, organs, and strings as well.

This piano has 16-track recording, Bluetooth, and it also has connectivity to Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app for you to control all of the features of this piano.

Please check out some of the examples that played with the N1X:
