Yamaha NU1X Avant Hybrid Piano Overview

Welcome to Popplers Music. My name is Josh. Let’s talk pianos.

Today, we are going to be looking at the Yamaha NU1X Avant Hybrid piano. The NU1X is the only upright Avant Hybrid in the Avant Hybrid series. This piano is a completely digital piano but has the action out of Yamaha’s flagship U1 acoustic upright piano. What this piano aims to do is to bypass the digital action aspect, and put an acoustic action in the key bed so that you don’t have to sacrifice the feel of an acoustic piano while still enjoying the benefits of a digital.

The NU1X has 15 different instrument sounds, recording capability, headphone connectivity, and Bluetooth. Let’s take a look at some of the features that this piano has to offer.

You can utilize all of the digital aspects of the NU1X using the control panel. You can access your voices. You can change the reverb. You can turn on your Bluetooth, built-in metronome, and record yourself. Bluetooth allows you to utilize the speakers on your NU1X to listen to any song that you would like.

You can also utilize the features on your NU1X by using the Smart Pianist app. It allows you to cycle through your instrument sounds, chooses other instrument sounds that are on the piano other than piano, and also access your recording.

The NU1X features Yamaha’s 9’ concert grand, the CFX, as well as the Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand piano. The piano samples from the CFX concert grand and the Bosendorfer are absolutely amazing.

Please check out some of the examples that played with the NU1X.
