Yamaha P-45 Digital Keyboard Piano Overview

Welcome to Popplers Music. My name is Josh. Let’s talk pianos.

Today, we are going to be taking a look at the Yamaha P-45 portable keyboard. The P-45 is Yamaha’s entry level keyboard with all 88 keys and a weighted action. The weighted action is important because the keys are a little bit heavier on the bottom, a little bit lighter on the top, which is consistent with that of an acoustic piano.

The P-45 has ten different instrument sounds. It uses Yamaha’s AWM stereo sampling for all of the instrument sounds. It also has headphone connectivity. The P-45 has a few different ways that you can set up the piano. You can set up the P-45 with a classic X stand or with a stylish side stand.

There are two popular benches to go with the P-45: the classic X bench or the wooden BB1 bench. The piano also comes with a little black sustained pedal or you can upgrade to a single sustained pedal, which is consistent with that of an acoustic piano.

Please check out some of the examples that played with the P45:
