Scored for voices with handbells and optional percussion, this setting of the traditional French carol opens mysteriously, reflecting the awe of the first verse: "Let all mortal flesh keep silence, and with fear and trembling stand." As voices and bells are added, the work closes with chorusing alleluias. This work makes an exceptional processional or antiphonal anthem, heightening the drama of your Advent services.
InstruPax includes 3-4 octave handbells.
