This impressive composition for developing band has all of the elements that have made David Shaffer’s music exceptionally popular. Full of percussion, flowing melodic lines, distinct counterpoint and dramatic rhythmic excitement, this composition is fully accessible for younger players yet it has a unique mature sound. Written to catch the excitement and exhilaration of the first humans to step on the face of the moon, Sea of Tranquility will be the highlight of your concert and a great contest piece as well.
