If trees could talk, what stories they might tell and what lessons they could teach! There is a tree that stands in Tappen Wood. Its branches stretch to the sky and look down to witness some of the pivotal moments in the history of America. If we listen carefully, perhaps this tree can speak to us. Perhaps it could reinforce our yearning for miracles, our penchant for dreaming and our hearts full of gratitude. Popular writing team John Jacobson and Emily Crocker bring you this stirring, yet tender musical story for young readers that reminds us where we came from and helps us discover who we really are. Available in hard cover with full color illustrations and a CD with author narration and 6 songs. Now you can bring the musical story of A Tree in Tappen Wood to life on stage with the Teacher Edition/CD that includes piano accompaniments, reproducible songsheets and story text, choreography, and instrumental-only CD tracks! For extra value, the Performance Kit/CD provides the Teacher Edition/Accompaniment CD and Storybook/Listening CD. Duration: ca. 30 minutes. Suggested for grades 3-6.
