In this arrangement for quartets, Lloyd has adapted one of the best known melodies from the 25 works that make up Handel's Water Music. Scored here for four trumpets and piano, an ensemble most appropriate to the style of the music. Counterpoint is used liberally, and all parts contain melodic material. The optional piano part is supportive, but not required.
