First Stage

Grades 1-3 - What is more exciting than seeing children in their first musical performance? First Stage is a collection of three musical plays (the classics Stone Soup and The Little Red Hen, and an original - Conversations with Santa) arranged to include Orff instruments. Students explore each play through reading, song, dance, rhythmic speech, playing instruments and improvisation. Suggestions are provided for simple costumes and props and reproducible song pages for students are included.
