Words by Frances Chesterton and adapted by David and Bonnie Huntsinger, music adapted by and with original material by David and Bonnie Huntsinger from the English tune "Stowie" / arr. David Huntsinger
How Far Is It to Bethlehem? is a setting of a poem by Frances Chesterton (1975-1938), the wife of noted English author, G.K. Chesterton. Also known by the title, Children's Song of the Nativity, the poem tells of curious children seeking the baby Jesus. When they find him, they realize that all they have to give him are their "little smiles and little tears." Sweet and sincere, this anthem is a lovely choice for the season of Christmas.
