Celebrating the life of Mozart is this clever play from Jill and Michael Gallina for elementary students. Using rhyming text, Of Mice and Mozart tells the story of Mozart's life from the perspective of the imaginary ancestors of the mice who lived in the woodwork of his house. This work pairs Mozart melodies with humorous lyrics entertaining and teaching at the same time. From the opening theme based on Symphony No. 40 to the comic Musicians Will Always Be Baroque, the touch of rap infused into the familiar Piano Sonata, these songs and creative puns delight. A complete production guide is found in the Director's Score as well as costuming suggestions, scenery and staging ideas. Absolutely irresistible and a must for every music library! Available separately: Preview Pack (book/CD kit); Director's Score; Performance Pack (2 Scores & 10 Performers' Parts); 5-pack Performers' Parts; StudioTrax CD; Performance Pack with CD; Listening CD.
