Always a favorite during the holiday season, “Over the River and Through the Woods” has been well loved by generations. Often used as a Thanksgiving carol, its Norman Rockwell depiction of home for the holidays is appropriate throughout the winter season. Donald Moore's arrangement is fairly traditional, with a few unexpected harmonies. A crowd-pleaser that can be easily learned with a minimal amount of rehearsal, “Over the River and Through the Woods” should be on your next holiday concert program.
