Hultgren's AUSTRALIAN FOLK SONG SUITE presents a musical portrait of this fascinating land. QUEENSLAND MATILDA is an old melody often forgotten or thought of as a second choice for the traditional Waltzing Matilda theme. This setting features the old theme in a variety of textures. A beautiful and plaintive folk song is Moreton Bay, the story of a convict contemplating his fate and dreaming of his true love as he is quietly walking... ONE SUNDAY MORNING. The spirit of excitement and frivolity is revived in the tune of a folk song that talks of ship-board life of passengers and crew that are BOUND FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
