El Ritmo del Malecón by Jamie Roth is an original salsa chart that brings authentic style to the jazz ensemble stage--effectively two charts in one. Written at a Grade 3 or 4 level depending on setup, it features a true-to-style groove with montuno and tumbao patterns, supported by optional additional percussion. Alternate bass and piano parts allow ensembles to approach the chart at a more accessible level or step into a more advanced, fully realized salsa feel.
