Northern Sky is a choral piece for SSA voices that captures the mystery and beauty of the northern lights. The music follows the movement of the aurora—soft and shimmering, bold and bright—reflecting the wonder of seeing light dance across a dark sky. The poem describes the aurora as a dreamlike spirit, painting the night with color and telling the silent stories of the stars. Through gentle harmonies and flowing melodies, the piece invites singers and listeners to feel the magic of this natural light show—a fleeting, breathtaking moment where the heavens seem to open above the frozen world.
