Rarely does a Grade 2 composition contain as much musical depth and variety as this powerhouse from the pen of Michael Sweeney. The impressive opening strains lead to a fast-paced ostinato accompanying an explosive melody in the trumpets. After a delicate lyric section, the fast pace returns and the piece drives to a powerful finish.
