The race is on! "Lightspeed" is a high-velocity piece built almost entirely on fast-moving staccato eighth notes. Inspired by the painting technique of pointillism, which uses small distinct dots of color combining to form an image, the overall effect of "Lightspeed" is an energetic ride that is exciting and fun for the audience as well as the performers.
