This well-known Cuban song has been recorded by countless artists through the years, and receives a standout contemporary setting for full jazz ensemble from Latin master Michael Mossman. Arranged in a moderate "Guajira" style, this chart features classy harmonizations and smooth ensemble passages. The solo section (optional for any instrument) is followed by an out chorus that is built up in layers starting with the rhythm section. Beautifully and effectively arranged.
