The Latin words "Deo gratias" are used in the refrain of this song of thanksgiving, and the verses use Pierpont's text "For the Beauty of the Earth." James Chepponis' original music is effective when layered: the piece may start simply but add vocal and instrumental forces as it progresses. For general use or as a communion piece.
