The beautiful text for this piece is by James Quinn and is appropriate for use during both Advent and Lent, as well as several other times during the church year. The composition changes meter to accommodate the natural flow of the text, and is written in a lyrical, melodic style. The piece may be used by choirs with modest forces as well as with larger choirs.
