"Step into the charged atmosphere above the clouds with Transient Luminous Events, a mysterious and imaginative Grade 3.5 work inspired by rare upper-atmospheric phenomena like Sprites, Blue Jets, and ELVES. These ethereal bursts of light, once unconfirmed and unseen, are brought to life through colorful orchestration, shimmering textures, and bursts of rhythmic energy.
Optional theremin or synthesizer adds a haunting, otherworldly quality to the soundscape, evoking the alien beauty of these electrical wonders. A compelling blend of science and artistry, this piece invites performers and audiences alike to look upward—and imagine what dances in the skies just beyond our view."
