Recorded by the SWR Big Band on their "Fun Time" CD, the 'aces' here are the alto sax and trombone soloists who play in separate and simultaneous solos for a truly unique effect. A dynamic chorus by the full ensemble helps seal the whole deal. Scoring calls for flute or clarinet doubles in most (ATTB) sax parts and five trumpets doubling on flugelhorn.
