Co-commissioned by La Nuova Musica with the support of the Fidelio Charitable Trust, and by Wigmore Hall with the support of Andre Hoffman, president of the Foundation Hoffmann, a Swiss grant-making foundation. The premiere performance was given on 10th July 2018 at the Lichfield Festival by La Nuova Musical and Lucy Crowe (soprano), conducted by David Bates.
