This anthem is wonderfully different in its sonic impact. A bell-like piano motive opens the piece and holds the sections together by transitioning between them with pristine grace. The choral chords shimmer with beauty as this artful poem unfolds, creating the soul-soothing ambience of a cathedral. Based on G. K. Chesterton's “The Feast of Snow,” the text falls on the heart like winter snowflakes, providing that special “aha moment” for holiday concerts. This is the inaugural offering in a new choral series called The Poetry of Faith. Score and Parts (pno, perc, timp, hn, solo vn, vn 1-2, va, vc, db) available as a digital download.
